Culmination programme of Swachhata Hi Seva held; Reform Utsav launched in Meluri

The culmination programme of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026-cum-execution and launching programme of Reform Utsav integrated with the People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) was held at DB’s Court, DC Office, Meluri, on October 2 under the chairpersonship of Pipfusa Pojar, EAC, Meluri.

During the programme, Deputy Commissioner, Meluri, highlighted the significance of Reform Utsav and emphasised the need for active participation, public awareness and collective efforts from all stakeholders for its successful implementation. He encouraged citizens to share their suggestions and valuable inputs to ensure the effective execution of the initiative. He further stated that, being a newly established district, Meluri requires greater efforts and contributions from all departments and the public towards achieving its developmental goals.

BDO Weziho, Akuozüvi Kajiri, delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the People’s Plan Campaign (PPC), highlighting its objectives and the importance of participatory planning and public involvement in the developmental process.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Meluri, Shelley Katiry, NCS, also spoke on the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, its culmination and acknowledged the valuable contributions of sanitation workers towards maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.

The programme also included a review of activity reports presented by various departments under Reform Utsav, followed by an interaction and query session, providing an opportunity for discussion and suggestions.

As part of the programme, four individuals, including a driver and sanitation workers of the Meluri Town Council, were felicitated in recognition of their dedicated services and contributions towards maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.

The programme concluded with the administration of the Swachhata Hi Seva pledge by Deputy Commissioner, Meluri, Phuleshe K. Yepthomi, NCS, reaffirming the collective commitment towards cleanliness, sanitation and maintaining a clean and healthy environment, as well as strengthening public participation and coordinated efforts for the successful implementation of Reform Utsav and the People’s Plan Campaign in Meluri.
