A formal programme for adoption of Jakhama Village as the Myki Village for the financial year 2026-27 was held on October 15 at the Panchayat Hall, Jakhama Village, Kohima with MLA, Kevipodi Sophie as Special Guest.
This programme was taken up under the Myki Village Adoption Initiative (Myki Activities) of the Department of Women Resource Development. Following the State Government’s policy of ‘one district – one product,’ this programme seeks to advocate an approach of ‘one village – one product’ wherein one activity which is already being undertaken by the village womenfolk would be upscaled for enhanced production and for sourcing of better market linkages.
