A 17-member ENPO delegation led by its President Tsapikiu Sangtam held its third round of talks today in Guwahati with the three-member committee constituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
The MHA committee is headed by adviser (North East) A K Mishra and comprises of two other members – Dr Mandeep Singh, Joint Director, Intelligence Bureau and A K Dhayani, Director, North East Division, MHA.

A source informed that the meeting was brief and fruitful and that things are going in the right track. It stated that discussions for a separate statehood of the Eastern Nagas are ongoing and the GoI have also shared their part of difficulties.

The second meeting between the ENPO delegation with GOI’s representatives took place in MHA, North Block, New Delhi on 23 December 2022.
Both parties are hammering out ways to come to a logical conclusion and talks will resume shortly, the source informed, adding that after the return of the ENPO delegation to Nagaland, the apex body will also convene a public meeting.
“Meanwhile, both the parties will use our mind and wisdom to come to a logical conclusion, we will work on that,” said the source.
