The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has notified that no nominations were filed for candidature to the General Elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly on Day-3.

There were no nominations on the previous two days as well.

The NDPP and the BJP on Thursday afternoon announced their lists of candidates following the agreed upon seat sharing ration of 40:20 while the other parties are yet to declare their lists.

The suspense continues to grow as the last date of filing nomination will be 7 February, which will be followed by the scrutiny of nominations the next day.

The last date for withdrawal of nominations is 10 February and polling will be held on 27 February from 7am to 4pm.
