Poshan Phakwada 2023 (Nutrition forthnight) under National Nutrition Mission which started on 20th March 2023 organised by the Department of Social Welfare, DPOI (ICDS), Wokha held its closing ceremony at VDB hall, Wokha on Monday, a DIPR report said.

The closing programme was held on the themes “Millet for Nutrition well-being”, “Celebration of SWASTH BALAK SPARDHA” and “Sakshan Anganwadi”.

Awards were given to participants and staff during the culmination programme. The awards were categorised on various activities conducted during the month-long programme. Six staff under DPO (ICDS) were honoured with the Best Anganwadi Workers and Helpers, other awards which were handed over to the participants including Baby Show Competition and Cooking Competition. The awards were handed over by CDPO Wokha.

EAC Wokha, Rosy Sangtam, in her speech lauded the department officials and staff for working tirelessly in fulfilling the various Government schemes and policies and encouraged them to continue to work with the same spirit for the welfare and upliftment of the society.

DPO (ICDS) Wokha also delivered short speech during the function. The programme was chaired by Sr. Supervisor, Wokha, Erenbeni Kikon.
