Prime Minister Narendra Modi has complimented the people of Wansoi village in Noklak district, Nagaland for adopting progressive gender policies.
Women were allowed for the first time to beat the log drum in the Morung at the village this week during the 5th General session cum 15th Executive meeting of the Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam (KMH) which was organised under the theme ‘Women in Progressive Society’.

S. Phangnon Konyak, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), who was present at the historic moment, had expressed her appreciation towards the village for its wisdoms. She posted the same on Twitter adding that Modi’s ‘Nari Shakti’ was showing results in the frontier district of Noklak.
