The North East Students’ Organisation (NESO), on Saturday, stated that it is deeply perturbed at the prevailing situation in Manipur that has left many people from other states stranded and in need of immediate evacuation.

The students’ body, noting the urgency of the matter, pressed on immediate intervention of the Ministry of Civil Aviation to schedule chattered flights for the evacuation process of people to their respective home states.

Further, NESO also mentioned that many people had lost their documents during the ensuing arson and violence in Manipur and appealed to concerned authorities to sympathise with the genuine citizens while considering other means of identification.
