Workshop cum capacity building on UNNATI 2024

The Directorate of Industries & Commerce, in collaboration with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Grant Thornton Bharat LLP (Project Implementation Unit), successfully organized a Workshop cum Capacity Building Program for UNNATI 2024 on April 24.

The event brought together officials, investors, and stakeholders to discuss the scheme’s benefits and implementation.

The workshop was divided into two sessions. Session I, moderated by Cholzo Sophie, Joint Director & Nodal Officer, UNNATI, was attended by officials from the department and District Industries Centres (DICs). Key highlights of the session included a special address by Er. Y. Lipongse Thongtsar, Additional Director, Industries and Commerce, who spoke om the importance of the UNNATI scheme in promoting industrial growth in Nagaland. An insightful introduction to the UNNATI 2024 scheme was delivered by Hudaibia Nafis Khan, Consultant, DPIIT, highlighting its key features and objectives. A detailed overview of the registration and claim processes was presented by Shubham Gupta, Consultant, Project Management Unit (PMU). Pavitra Rana, Senior Business Analyst, Unnati’24 Scheme Portal Agency provided a portal demo on the UNNATI 2024 scheme.

Session II, designed for existing and potential investors of the UNNATI scheme, featured expert sessions from notable resource persons. Pepenthung Lotha, Consultant, Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of GT Bharat LLP,  shared a success story of UNNATI registration and highlighted the benefits and opportunities available under the scheme. Shubham Gupta, Consultant, PMU, provided a detailed overview of the registration and claim processes, reinforcing the key takeaways from Session I, while Pavitra Rana, Senior Business Analyst, Unnati’24 Scheme Portal Agency, delivered a comprehensive portal demo, showcasing the functionality and ease of use of the UNNATI scheme portal.

Suresh Kumar Rai, AGM, SIDBI, Dimapur, discussed financial aspects, including bank appraisal and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), crucial for securing funding for projects under the UNNATI scheme.

The workshop provided a platform for stakeholders to engage with officials and experts, gaining a clear understanding of the registration process, portal demo, and financial aspects of the UNNATI scheme.
