Mokokchung Police has arrested five persons in drug related cases and according registered three cases, a press release from the office of Superintendent of Police Mokokchung informed.

The additional SP in the release stated that while conducting frisking and checking of vehicle at Settsu junction on 14 July 2023, a bike (Royal Enfield) and a Scooty were intercepted and on thorough checking suspected Spasmo Proxyvon capsule, and Novocoff-CT Cough syrup were recovered from four persons.

The persons have been identified as Imliwapang (35yrs), Artang Ward, Mokokchung, Imlichuba (32yrs), Artang Ward Mokokchung and Tsuknungwati (47yrs) Tzusapang Sector Mokokchung Village and Imkongnungsang (37yrs), Mokokchung Village respectively.

In this connection, two different cases had been registered at Mokokchung Police Station-II under NDPS Act were registered respectively for further investigation.

The police also said that in another incident, on 15 July 2023, Mokokchung Police apprehended one person namely Enos K Jimo (40yrs), 3rd Mile Thilixu Village from Sangtemla ward, Mokokchung for possessing of suspected Brown Sugar/Heroin.

In this connection, a case was registered for further investigation at Mokokchung Police Station under NDPS Act.
