The book ‘The Konyak Naga Indigenous Crafts, Textiles and Attires’ written by C Lemei Konyak of Tuimei village, Mon Town was dedicated at a function held at Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Kohima (KBBC) Midland conference hall on Tuesday.
The book was edited by C N Moe, it was informed.

Rev Yamyap, the Nagaland State Chaplain, dedicated the book. In his address, the reverend appreciated the author for her dedication to preserve the cultural heritage of Konyaks, which is on the verge of disappearing. He said that Konyaks relied mostly on historical books written by foreigners, but that Lemei has enabled people to see the rich culture and heritage from the native perspectives. He encouraged the author to keep writing for the Konyaks and expressed gratitude to the author for leaving historical accounts and stories for future generations.
C Lemei Konyak highlighted the book’s substance and acknowledged God for the guidance and successful completion of ‘The Konyak Naga Indigenous Crafts, Textiles and Attires’.
An interactive session with the author was held where she briefly explained the book’s major topics of the book.
The Associate Pastor of Konyak Church, Mankap started the program with an introductory prayer and ended with the benediction.
