As part of the ongoing “Survival Mokokchung” initiative, Kohima Ao Officer Tem Telongjem (KAOT) collaborated with the A.H & Veterinary Office, Mokokchung to organize a Seminar on Commercial Scale Pig Farming. The event, held on Friday, took place at the Conference Hall, State Poultry Farm Mokokchung.
The seminar featured Manoj Kumar Basumatary, CEO of Symbiotic Foods Pvt. Ltd, Tezpur, Assam, and Founding President of the North East Progressive Pig Farmers Association, as the resource person.

Dr Nemjemyanger Kubzari, Farm Manager, SCBF Aliba, chaired the formal session, while Dr B.M Sunep, CVO Mokokchung, welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of learning from an expert with extensive experience in the field.
The seminar was attended by KOAT members, including Nungsangwabang, Additional Secretary of the Planning Department, Dr. Kika Longkumer, Joint Director of Health & Family Welfare; and Senka Jamir, Joint Director of Horticulture Department and executive member. Their joint efforts aimed to empower local farmers by providing technical insights to enhance their commercial ventures.
During the technical session, Manoj Kumar Basumatary shared his personal experiences and imparted valuable knowledge related to commercial pig farming, offering practical guidance for successful farming activities in the district.
