The Innovation Hub & Space Education Centre, NSC-Dimapur, a part of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Nagaland, orchestrated a two-day workshop titled “Professional Development Program for Science Teachers” alongside an enlightening awareness session on “Innovation Quest.”
Commencing on August 25th, 2023, the inaugural program was graced by Zeneikhonuo Vimero, Director of the Department of Science and Technology. In her address, she underscored the importance of continuous professional development for educators. Vimero emphasized the department’s unwavering commitment to bolstering science and technology education. She encouraged all participants to actively engage and derive maximum benefits from the program.
S. Md. Peershavali, Teacher Developer from the Royal Society of Chemistry, served as the resource person for the workshop. The workshop brought together teachers from a diverse array of 44 Government and Private schools spanning Dimapur, Niuland, and Chumukedima districts.

The Dimapur chapter of the workshop is scheduled for August 25th and 26th, 2023, while the Kohima chapter will take place on August 28th and 29th, 2023. The collaboration for this educational endeavor was established with The Royal Society of Chemistry, Bangalore.
