NSCN (Niki) resolves to defend and stand by Naga People’s aspirations

Kohima: Any political settlement arrived at should be based on inclusivity

A press release issued by the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), NSCN (Niki) resolves to defend and stand by Naga People’s aspirations stated that a Joint Council Meeting was conducted led by the collective leadership on 12 September, where various issues pertaining to the Indo-Naga Political dialogue were deliberated extensively.

“The House unanimously passed the resolution to defend and stand by Naga People’s aspirations for sovereignty and that any political settlement arrived at should be based on the inclusivity of all stake holders – Naga Political parties, Naga civil societies and Nagas at large and also to incorporate additional aspirations into the Indo-Naga political settlement, after consultation with the Naga people,” mentioned the press statement.

The meeting comprised of NSCN (Niki) resolves to defend and stand by Naga People’s aspirations political wing, Central Secretariat and People’s Army of Nagaland (PAN) and representatives from the following 24 Regions and affairs: United Sangtam Region, Ao Region, Tisary Region, Chang Region, Yimkhiung Region, Kuki Region, Phom Region, Zeliangrong Region, Kachari Affairs, Gorkha Affairs, Nuiland United Sub-Region, Ammameth Region, Konyak Region, Lotha Region, Khaimniungan Region, Angami Region, Rengma Region, Chakhesang Region, Shepoumaram Region, Sumi Region, UT-1, Arunachal Affairs, Garo Affairs, Chümoukedima United Sub-Region.
