A cyber safety/legal awareness and career guidance program was organised by SP Phek office in collaboration with Chakhesang Students’ Union and Phek Government College on Wednesday at Phek Govt College.
During the session, SP Phek, Dr Pripal Kaur, IPS, spoke on various types of cyber-crimes and its impact on society. She explained about the public can register their cyber-crime related complaints online on the NCRP portal or via the toll-free helpline- 1930. She also urged students to be cyber volunteers in spreading awareness on cyber-crimes.

Resource Person Md Sayeed Khan, Faculty NIT and founder of Zed-Ace gave a presentation on cyber safety, ethical hacking and preventive measures to protect everyone from cyber frauds. He explained the vulnerabilities of using social media and various applications and also how to prevent oneself from becoming a victim.
Sahil, MGN Fellowship, explained various government schemes and policies for career options.
Povozo from CSU gave the welcome address while Kenei chaired the program. The invocation was prayed by Veruyoyi, Pastor, Phek Baptist Church and benediction was pronounced by Nivi Achumi, Assistant Professor, Government College Phek.
