The Nagaland Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has extended its full support to its alliance partner National Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate Wangpang Konyak for the 43-Tapi Assembly Constituency bye-election scheduled to be held on 7 November 2023.

BJP State President, Benjamin Yepthomi on behalf of the ally party congratulated Wangpang Konyak for being awarded the ruling NDPP ticket and said, “the party extends full support to the candidature of NDPP for the upcoming bye-election 2023”

NDPP sharing about the ticket ceremony that took place on 17 October 2023 at NDDP Headquarter, Chümoukedima on X tweeted “At this momentous occasion, the NDPP proudly nominated Mr. Wangpang Konyak as the party’s candidate for the upcoming bye-election. Mr. Konyak, a dedicated public servant, was officially entrusted with the responsibility to bring positive change to the constituency.
The NDPP remains committed to conducting the bye-election in the 43-Tapi Assembly Constituency in a democratic and transparent manner, ensuring the constituents are effectively represented.”
