Vartalap on Central Government Initiatives and schemes in Nagaland

The Press Information Bureau (PIB), Kohima under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, will be organizing a one day media workshop “Vartalap” under the theme “Central Government initiatives/schemes in Nagaland” at De Oriental Grand, Kohima on November 2.

The main objective of organizing the media workshop is to help equip the local mediapersons with sufficient knowledge of Central government schemes/programmes being taken up in the State and also to create a platform for healthy interaction among medipersons, State government departments and central government media.

The workshop will conduct two sessions – Inaugural session and Technical session. The topics proposed to be included in the workshop are Central Initiatives in tourism sector in Nagaland, National Education Policy vis-à-vis One Nation, One Student ID – An understanding and Forest Conservation (Ammendment) Act, 2023.

Thavaseelan K, IAS, Principal Director, Directorate of School Education will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Senior Journalist Okenjeet Sandham will be the Guest of Honor while Vishü Rita Krocha, General Secretary of Kohima Press Club will attend as Special Guest.

The resource persons for the workshop are Vetpal Singh, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Chief Wildlife Warden, Government of Nagaland, Sani Pongen, Assistant Engineer, Directorate of School Education and Kunal Jha, Asst Manager, Ministry of Tourism attached to Department of Tourism, Nagaland.
