The Nagaland Women’s Sepaktakraw team and on Friday secured the Silver Medal and Broze medal (team event) at the ongoing National Games in Goa. This was announced by the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) on X (formerly Twitter).
“Overcoming higher-ranked teams to reach the finals is a truly remarkable achievement and an inspiring testament to their dedication and skill!,” stated the NOA in a post on X.
The Nagaland Women’s team which won the Silver medal , featured Menenu Tsukru, Sezovelu Dozo, Seyiekhrieno Tepa, Akumtila, and Rukuvinu Tsukru. *Appreciation goes to the dedicated coaches, tireless support staff, and committed association officials for their invaluable contributions that have played a pivotal role in bringing Nagaland to the forefront. These victories are reshaping the sports journey of Nagaland, and together, we’re on the path to excellence,” highlighted the NOA.
The Nagaland Women’s Sepaktakraw team also clinched the Bronze Medal in the Team Event at the ongoing National Games in Goa. “Your achievement is not just a victory but an inspiration for many to reach greater heights in sports,” stated the NOA, acknowledging the efforts of dedicated coaches, tireless support staff, and committed association officials for their invaluable contributions.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also took to X to congratulate the teams, “Big congratulations to the Nagaland Sepaktakraw Women’s Regu team for winning the Silver Medal. A well-deserved success for your hard work and perseverance. Best wishes to the team and the Coach for more success. Nagaland is proud of you!”.
Rio also congratulated the Nagaland Women’s Sepaktakraw team for winning the Bronze Medal in the Team Event. “Also, well done coaches, support staff and the Association officials for making Nagaland proud and adding to Nagaland’s medal tally,” stated Rio.
The National Games 2023 is underway in Goa. Maharashtra currently leads the National Games 2023 medals table with 168 medals — 60 gold, 54 silver and 54 bronze.
Nagaland has been ranked 27 with one gold, two silver and three bronze medals, among the 32 States and Union Territories participating in the National Games 2023.
