A safe and more secure Tuensang: Phase two of San-Nyek CCTV Project inaugurated

The office of the Superintendent of Police Tuensang informed that the Phase 2 of the ‘San-Nyek’ CCTV project was officially unveiled at the Tuensang Police Station on November 3. The Phase 1 project was launched last December. The inauguration was presided over by Kanchan Kumar Kandpal, IPS, Superintendent of Police for Tuensang while the Addl SP, SDPO and other Officers were present at the event.

The ambitious undertaking has seen the installation of CCTV cameras in 20 different locations, strategically covering key commercial areas as well as various crime-prone regions within Tuensang Town. These cameras operate around the clock, vigilantly monitored by the dedicated District Executive Force Tuensang.

“The primary objective of this cutting-edge CCTV system is to enhance crime detection and prevention within the town. This initiative will undoubtedly prove invaluable to the local law enforcement agencies in their pursuit of effective case investigations, leveraging the technical support provided by these state-of-the-art cameras,” stated the press release.

This project is set to expand further in phase 3 where additional CCTV cameras will be strategically deployed in more vulnerable and critical locations throughout the town, reinforcing the commitment to a safer and more secure Tuensang.
