The Angetyongpang Development Board (ADB) launched its program along with a seminar on the importance of livestock vaccination for the Angetyongpang area. The event, held on November 17 at Sungkomen Ward Community Hall in Mokokchung, featured Dr. BM Sunep, Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO), Mokokchung, as the Resource person. The seminar which was attended by village and town ward leaders, NDPP and BJP leaders, focused on livestock vaccination, particularly in the context of piggery, and included a discussion hour.
Advisor Tongpang Ozukum, Department of Water Resources, GON, emphasized on the socio-economic sustenance through livelihood schemes and projects in both rural and urban areas of the constituency. Expressing concern about livestock management and the welfare of pig farmers, Ozukum highlighted the economic impact of diseases that should be addressed through proper vaccination and farmer education. The Advisor also commended the Veterinary Department for providing technical assistance.
The meeting overview highlighted the need for socio-economic development in the Angetyongpang constituency, with a focus on education, health, and skill development. A three-day intensive vaccination training for 30 individuals will be conducted from November 23 to 25, and these trained individuals will be known as Vaccination Service Providers (VSP).

Livestock Vaccination with special emphasis on piggery was presented by Dr BM Sunep Chief Veterinary Officer Mokokchung. “The Way Forward” was delivered by Lepzung Pongen Convener ADB while the program was chaired by Imlikumzuk.
The Angetyongpang Development Board’s guidelines include promoting inclusive development, drawing members from various villages and towns, and maintaining a non-profit, non-political stance. The Board’s responsibilities involve identifying constituency needs, suggesting measures, and coordinating with developmental departments. The Board’s tenure is co-terminus with the dissolution of the assembly, with reconstitution at the beginning of each new term. The Board aims to be wholly committed to the welfare of the people, avoiding partisan politics and encouraging members to work for the public good.
