Final publication of electoral roll released in various districts

Various districts in Nagaland today released the final publication of electoral roll, informed the DIPR. The release in various districts were held at the respective district administrative offices and attended by all recognised political parties in the districts.

CHÜMOUKEDIMA

According to DIPR, a public information notified that the list of amendments to the draft electoral roll for 4-Ghasparni-1 and 5-Ghaspani-II, Assembly Constituencies has been prepared with reference to 01/01/2024 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. A copy of the said roll together with the said list of amendments has been published and will be available for inspection at ADC, Office, Chümoukedima.

Further, in connection with the Summary of the Last Part of Electoral Rolls with reference to 01.01.2024 as the qualifying date, the final Electoral Rolls for service election in respect of 4- Ghaspani -l and 5- Ghaspani- ll Assembly Constituencies have been published on January 10. Henceforth, all concerned Officers/ Commanding Officers are requested to check the extract Final Rolls in respect of the service personnel under their charge.

PUGHOBOTO

The final electoral roll for Pughoboto was released today at the Office Chamber of Additional Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Pughoboto, attended by District Election Officer, ERO, AERO, State recognised political parties of Pughoboto Unit and BLOs.

TSEMINYU

The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Tseminyu, Rohit Singh (IAS) has distributed the final publication of Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll w.e.f 01/02/2024 on January 10 at DC’s conference hall Tseminyu. The Copies of the final publication of Photo Electoral Roll with both hard copy and one soft copy was hand over to the recognised political parties during the program. The program was chaired by Kemciyile (NCS) SDO (civil) Tseminyu.

TUENSANG

The final draft Publication of Electoral Roll of special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll was conducted at DC Conference Hall Tuensang on January 10. Nilo Katiry, AEO Tuensang addressing the representatives expressed gratitude and cooperation displayed by the Political Parties from 51 Noksen, 52 Longkhim – Chare, 53 Tuensang Sadar 1 and 54 Tuensang Sadar ll Assembly Constituency and presented the copy of Electoral Roll to all the Political Parties from Tuensang.

KOHIMA

The Additional Deputy Commissioner & Electoral Registration Officer, Kohima, Rhosietho Ngouri, NCS convened a meeting with the representatives of different political parties at DC’s conference hall on January 10 and handed over the final publication of e-roll to all the different political parties.

The final publication roll registered a total electors of 121880 out of which 58515 were male electors and 63365 of female electors. Ngouri acknowledged all the representatives of the different political parties, stating that with the help, support and cooperation they could complete the revision work on time. He also mentioned that there were some addition and deletion in the electoral roll as well and emphasized on clean election, stating that ‘clean election starts with clean e-roll’.

The ADC further informed that the list of amendments to the draft electoral roll for 8-Western Angami, 9-Kohima Town, 10-Northern Angami-I, 11-Northern Angami-II,14-Southern Angami-I and 15-Southern Angami-II Assembly Constituencies has been prepared with reference to 01/01/2024 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960 and a copy of the said roll together with the said list of amendments has been published and will be available for inspection at his office.

DIMAPUR

The Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Dr. Tinojongshi Chang ,NCS along with Additional Deputy Commissioner & Electoral Registration Officer, Dimapur, Mhalo Humtsoe, and Assistant Election Officer, Dimapur, Toshimongba, on January 10 released the Final Publication of the Photo Electoral Roll. The event was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office chamber, Dimapur.

Chang thanked the political parties for attending the publication of the final publication of the Photo Electoral Roll. He stated that the Election Commission of India requires the recognized political parties to come and take the e/roll. Chang acknowledged the political parties for the cooperation rendered to the administration during the summary revision of the e/roll.

Mhalo Humtsoe, ADC & Electoral Registration Officer, Dimapur, informed that a total number of 1712 electoral were added and 549 electoral were deleted and a total number of 120749 electoral were from Dimapur constituency.

Humtsoe also informed that inclusion and deletions is a continuous process and it will be continuously updated, therefore, she requested the political parties to appoint the BLOs so that the parties can give corrections if the office has missed any eligible electoral.

 

All the recognized Political Parties were present during the final publication and were handed hard copies of final E/Roll during the event.
