Thsatangpa of Loyola Higher Secondary School won first prize at the Kiphire District Level Science Seminar 2022 on the topic of the seminar – Basic science for sustainable development prospect and challenges. Sara L Sangtam of Saramati View Modern School and Christy R Sangtam of El Beth High School won the second and third places respectively. Nine schools had participated in the science seminar.

Thsatangpa will be representing the district at the State Level Science Fair to be held on 7 October.

The winners of the district science seminar went away with cash prizes and certificates presented to them by the District Education Officer (DEO).

Speaking during the program, Y P Singh, Sr Principal Cum DEO, Kiphire encouraged the students to take science and engineering seriously and with dedication. He also urged them to give their best to develop their innovations. He said those ideas and innovations can have positive impacts on human life and the society.

The Program, organised by the Directorate of School Education with the District Education Office (DEO), was held at GHSS Kiphire.
