The Assam Rifles flagged off a twelve days National Integration Tour for twenty individuals from Noklak district on 5th February 2024. During the tour, the elders from the villages in the Indo-Myanmar border will be visiting Agra, Delhi and Kohima.
The tour aims to provide the participants with an opportunity to expand their horizons and gain exposure, the Assam Rifles informed. It will enable them to venture beyond their cultural boundaries and gain insights into other Indian cultures, it added.
The National Integration Tour includes visits to various historically and nationally significant sites such as the War Memorial and India Gate which will evoke strong feelings of nationalism. Additionally, a visit to Cyber City will provide them with a glimpse of the country’s technological development.
The Assam Rifles, Noklak Battalion, further informed that the elders of the Khiamniungan tribe have expressed their gratitude for the efforts in organising this exposure tour.
