The Assam Rifles apprehended one cadre of NSCN K (Isak) from DC Colony in Zunheboto on 15th February 2024. The security forces informed that it also recovered illegal weapons along with warlike stores from the cadre named as H Hotop Aye in the special operation.

AR said that on Thursday, the security forces cordoned off the suspected house in Zunheboto and conducted a thorough search of the house where the following were recovered:

– Four illegal weapons along with ammunitions

– 427 Extortion slips

– cash Rs 30,000

– 88 yearly vehicle tax receipts

– 43 State govt / Govt Officials Seals & Stamps including seal of Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto & Sub Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Zunheboto

– several bank pass books, ATM cards, numerous PAN Cards, Cheque books

– letter pads of insurgent group NSCN – K Isak

The cadre along with recovered items has been handed over to the police authorities at Zunheboto Police Station, the Assam Rifles said.
