The 30th annual sports meet of the Holy Cross school, Saksi in Tuensang began on March 26 witnessing the enthusiastic participation of teachers and students. The Meet was held at the Sao Chang college ground.
Mono Khiamniungan, Headmaster of Holy Cross school delivered a short speech at the event where he emphasised that Sports is not just about co-curricular activities but includes all the integral parts of whatever we do.
“Sports helps us to stay healthy, it helps to grow team spirit and provide good leadership skills,” said the Headmaster.
He encouraged the students from two major points: Sport helps us understand failure in life. “There are more failures then succes. If we cannot overcome failure it is difficult to handle the success,” said Khiamniungan.
