The Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung has issued a travel advisory to travellers of Tuensang and Mokokchung due to the ongoing construction of earth work.
In an order issued today, DC Tshuvisie Phoji stated, “The ongoing project work, namely ‘Construction of widening of existing single lane road to intermediate lane road from Mokokchung to Chare via Dikhu in the state of Nagaland on EPIC mode’ being executed by the UCN Construction Co.Pvt Ltd is currently under construction of earth work at high elevated hill with loose rocks which are prone to rockslide and which is unsafe for the commuters. Moreover the existing Bridge over Dikhu River which is located at the design change 12-485 is very weak and constant running of vehicles (Buses) over it may lead to hazardous situation in the future.”

Therefore, the travellers from Mokokchung to Tuensang has been advised to take the following alternative routes:
- Existing NH-02 (Mokokchung to Chare via Tsutsung – Moalenden- Meyilong).
- Mokokchung-Chuchuyimpang-Logmisa-Alisopur-Tongar-NH-2, Tuensang road.
