CTAN demands termination of 8 J.Es and 1 Program Officer within the next 30 days

The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has written to the Chief Engineer, Public Health Engineering Department demanding the termination of eight J.Es and one Program Officer (appointed after 6/6/2016) within the next 30 days.

With the greater interest of the unemployed youths, CTAN reminded the PHED  of the P&AR memorandum dated 06/06/2016, where the document clearly states that the appointment of all Ad-hoc/casual/temporary appointments as banned. “We demand your office to terminate the contract appointees. This is in connection with the RTI reply Dated 30/03/2024 Vide file no.PHE-10/RTI/1/2016/177. and also appeals the Department to send those post for requisition to NPSC,” stated the CTAN in its letter issued today.

It further stated that the Department should not make excuses of shortage of man power and practice illegal appointments as the NPSC Rule no. 9(4) (State, Civil & other services) clearly states that every Department must send requisition of vacancies likely to arise in the next 12 months.

“The Department is expected to do the necessary work of giving out proper, timely data on post vacancies. CTAN dedicated towards the aspirants demands for termination of those contract JEs and Program officer within the next 30 days. Failing which the Association will disclose the names of those illegal appointees and take up the issue democratically in whatever way is best suited,” asserted the CTAN.
