The Angami Students’ Union (ASU) has today condemned the assault and subsequent death of Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou by two youth.
Expressing shock over the incident that occurred on the May 18 at Phoolbari area Kohima, which cost the life of Miasalhou, Personal Assistant to Kohima Deputy Commissioner, the ASU stated, “At a time when tranquility and brotherhood is prevailing amongst the society, such barbaric act can never be accepted in our homeland. The Angami Students’ Union vehemently condemns the act of felony by two youths, namely Neizosetuo Kire and Khrietsonyü Whuorie, who resorted to such heinous act and alarmed the peaceful citizens of Kohima.”

The union earnestly appealed the law enforcing agencies to leave no stone unturned in investigating the matter and totally ensure that justice is delivered on priority. Further, it appealed all peace loving citizens to stand in solidarity during this time of perplexity and have faith in the law of the land. It also extended its utmost support and participation in delivering justice to the bereaved soul.
