JCI Alumni Club Zone 25 has handed over its second Cold Coffin to the Dimapur Gurudwara Sahib Committee under its ongoing Cold Coffin Donation Project, aimed at providing dignity and support to families during difficult times.

The first Cold Coffin under the initiative was handed over to the Dibrugarh Shamshan Ghat Committee a few days ago by the Bagaria family in loving memory of their parents, Late Banshidhar Ji Bagaria and Late Maina Devi Bagaria.

The handover ceremony in Dimapur was attended by JCI Alumni Club Zone 25 Chairman Jc PDM Basant Bagaria, accompanied by his wife, Jc Kusum Bagaria; JCI Dimapur members Jc Neeta Agarwal and Jc Jaya Dutta; and Sanjay Sethi of Dimapur Jain Samaj.

The Dimapur Gurudwara Sahib Committee agreed to take responsibility for managing the Cold Coffin and making it available to people in Dimapur whenever required.

Speaking on the occasion, Basant Bagaria said the initiative had procured seven Cold Coffins for distribution across four states in the region. Two more Cold Coffins had also been ordered, taking the total commitment to nine. He said the initiative was expected to expand further with the collective support of members and well-wishers.

Bagaria expressed gratitude to members of JCI Dibrugarh Greens for their generous contribution towards the initiative. He also thanked Dolly Ahluwalia and the Dimapur Gurudwara Sahib Committee for accepting responsibility for managing the facility for the benefit of the local community.

The Cold Coffin Donation Project reflects the spirit of JCI Alumni Club Zone 25, extending humanitarian service beyond organisational boundaries and reaching communities with compassion, care and dignity.

The initiative is guided by the thought: “Service to Humanity is the Greatest Work of Life.”
