Due to the damage in the abutment of Minor Bridge at Ch.KM 200+950 Kohima Mao Road NH- 02 near (BPCL) E-service station Jakhama, caused by heavy rains, the Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has issued a restriction imposed on vehicular movement over the Bridge with immediate effect till further notice.

-Vehicular traffic over the bridge for Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) beyond 12 tonnes shall remain suspended.

-Vehicular traffic over the bridge for all types of vehicles shall be closed from 7pm to 7am.

-Vehicular traffic over the bridge for Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) less than 12 tonnes shall be restricted to one vehicle at a time with speed limit of 5 kmph.

During traffic closure period, alternate route Via Keyake (BSF camp)- Chakhabama Military Station- Kezoma- Prayer Park (Kidima)- Kidima is suggested for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV).
