Dr Sorhie asserted that with the advancement of technology and mass production of unseasonal fruits and vegetables there is the presence of adulterated food in the market and that one should be vigilant of it. She also stated that students can act as a great tool in generating safe practices of food in the community and within the family.

With the variety of food products in the market, Dr Akuo requested all to always check the details on the labelling like manufacture date, best before, ingredients (in order for one to avoid any allergic reaction), veg/non-veg logo etc. to know what one is consuming and maintain a good health.
