The Home Department has informed that recommendations are invited for consideration of the award of Governor’s Gold Medals and Commendation certificates on the occasion of Independence Day 2024 latest by 5th July 2024 as per the following guidelines:-

1. Details of candidates recommended as per the format given in Annexure-A.
2. Precise recommendations/citations should not exceed one page [A4 size].
3. Recommendations/Citation in respect of Gazetted Officers shall be submitted through the concerned Head of Department and the Administrative Head of Department shall duly sign and forward the same to Special Secretary, Home Department.
4. Recommendations/citations in respect of Non-Gazetted Staff, the Head of Department shall sign and forward it to the Special Secretary, Home Department.
5. In the case of Police, Home Guards, Prisons and Fire Services, the recommendations shall come through their respective Director Generals/Heads of the Department to die Special Secretary, Home Department.
6. Recommendations/Citations duly signed by the recommending authority as indicated at 3 & 4 above shall forward along with the Annexure both hard and soft copy.
7. In respect of NGOs, individuals and employees working under the Establishment of the Deputy Commissioners, the Deputy Commissioners shall submit the recommendations to the Commissioner, Nagaland who in turn shall sign and forward it to the Special Secretary, Home Department.

The recommendation shall include

– Name and surname (in full and block letters)

– Designation, Full address and contact number (if any),

– Profession (in case of non – officials),

– Main field of activities,

– Whether the nominee holds any other award(s) in the (Name of Award and Year) and citation.
