The officials of the Chang Students’ Union Saksi, NAP, led by its President, took the initiative to repair the potholes ridden road from Main Gate Saksi to Sao Chang College Road in Tuensang.
Sanglekhumba Chang, President of CSUS, highlighted on the inconveniences faced by the community as well as students due to the dilapidated condition of the road with numerous potholes filled with water. Ruing the State Government’s negligence on the road for years, he said that the concerned department failing to maintain the road even after receiving complains from Sao College students was one of the saddest things in Tuensang.
“It is also our responsibility as well to maintain and to look after the deteriorating road side, we should not fully depend on the government”, Chang stated, encouraging fellow citizens to come forward and do their parts.
The Union showed selfless gesture by manually filling the potholes with soil and one load of stones.
