The Peren District Football League (PDFL) kicked off to a grand start in Peren town on 4 October.

Eight clubs will be participating in the month-long football tournament which is the first edition of PDFL.

Here are the highlights for the two matches played on 5 October.

Prime FC vs Benreu FC

Prime FC won 5-1 over Benreu FC.

Prime FC dominated the entire match, scoring five goals against Benreu FC’s one goal.

Tingsenggai of Prime FC scored the first goal of the match at the 12th minute. In the second half, Haidingbe scored the second goal for Prime FC at the 50th minute followed by another goal within three minutes by his teammate Puiheilung, who also scored the fourth goal at the 56th minute of the match. The fifth goal for the team was scored by Haidingbe at the 90th minute.

Digumpeung of Benreu FC managed to score the lone goal for his team at the 65th minute.

NASA vs NZSA

The match ended with a 1-1 draw for the two teams.

Lungndetheing of NZSA scored the first goal at the 4th minute of the game. Deihimrai scored the equaliser goal at the 39th minute for NASA.

The next PDLF matches are slated to be played on Friday.
