Akehda Amulung, an NGO impaneled for the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) in Kiphire District, organized a significant event as part of the “Viksit Bharat Ka Mantra, Bharat Ho Nashe Se Swatantra” campaign. The program was held following a notification issued by Temsuwati Longkumer NCS, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Level Committee on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (DLCNMBA), Kiphire, Nagaland.

In response to the call for a country-wide Mass Pledge against drugs, the event took place on August 12, where educational institutions and public offices across the district were urged to participate in the pledge, with instructions to document and share the activities.

In Kiphire, the program was conducted at Good Shepherd High School, where students, teachers, and staff united to take the pledge to work towards a drug-free India. The activitie aimed at raising awareness and strengthening the community’s resolve against substance abuse.

This initiative, guided by the District Administration reflects the district’s strong commitment to combating substance abuse and fostering a healthier, drug-free society.
