The Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto District, Rahul Bhanudas Mali (IAS), has, in an order, notified that all single use plastics (SUP), carry bags irrespective of microns and all single use plastic bottles for water and soft drinks below 1(One) litre are hereby banned in Zunheboto District with effect from 1st August 2024.

A penalty of Rs.10,000/- for first offence, Rs. 20,000/- for second offence shall be imposed from the defaulters and for subsequent offence a permit cancellation shall be imposed.
