ANATG- 2015 batch calls off stir with immediate effect

The All Nagaland Ad hoc Teachers Group 2015 batch has called off its indefinite agitation with immediate effect, finally bringing an end to the impasse. This development comes following a marathon meeting held today between the Government of Nagaland headed by K D Vizo, principal secretary to the chief minister and the ANATG -2015 Batch Central and the Core Committee in the presence of the All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA).

The state government and the ANATG has resolved to set-up the High Powered Committee (HPC) headed by the Principal Secretary or Commissioner Secretary within 15 days, submit its recommendation by June 2023 and thereafter take up the issue to resolve the matter of ANATG-2015 Batch within December 2023. Service Extension of the Ad hoc teachers will continue till the matter is resolved; however, this dispensation will not apply to proxy and untrained teachers.

With regard to the Grant of 7th RoP it has been resolved that it will be based on the recommendation of the HPC. It was also resolved that the ANATG-2015 batch and ANSTA members will be given opportunity to present their case before the HPC and lastly, the HPC shall have a review meeting every 2 months.

The Ad hoc teachers have been protesting in the state capital since 26 September and further intensified its agitation on 30 September in the form of indefinite agitation. The last two rounds of meetings held with the state government had ended on an inconclusive note.
