In an effort to promote good governance in Wokha district, the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) has directed the Ranges, Circle and Units to keep a vigilant eye on government institutions within their jurisdiction and report any instances of duty negligence, dereliction of duties, or subpar performance to the Apex Body for prompt action.

In this regard, LSU has urged its associating bodies to conduct regular visits and inspections to such institutions, gather feedbacks and submit comprehensive reports to its office.

“Through this directive, we aim to establish a robust monitoring mechanism that ensures government institutions uphold the highest standards of performance, accountability and transparency,” the Union’s President Lirhonthung E. Kithan and Education and Statistics Secretary Nyanthung M. Khuvung stated in the directive.

Further, LSU has emphasised the pivotal role of the Ranges, Circle and Units in identifying areas of improvement in order to address the service delivery gaps and promoting good governance.
