The 2nd NSFC was organised by the Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) under the aegis of Nagaland Football Association (NFA) and All India Football Federation (AIFA).
For the first time, the NFA conducted the tournament this year under the Competition Management System (CMS) of the All India Football Federation.
The Nagaland State Futsal Championship is hosted by different districts on rotation basis. The first edition of the NSFC was held in Dimapur, hosted by the Dimapur District Football Association. With the second edition hosted by the KDFA, the next championship in 2023 will be hosted by another district.
