NPCC celebrates 155th birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee along with Frontals, departments and cells celebrated the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The event was attended by Vapramu Demo, former INC candidate of the 18th AC Chuzuba and PCC member. He stated that Gandhi’s values of non-violence (Ahimsa), truth (Satya) and cleanliness (Swachhata) resonate deeply into this world, urging everyone to take responsibility for the society they wish to create.

A short speech was followed by Kelevono Neinu NPMC, who quoted that Mahatma Gandhi led a humble live and also encourage the congregation to be an example. Herole Y, Working President of NPYC highlighted about the importance of humility referring to the life of M K. Gandhi. He also added the Gandhi’s first priority was his countrymen. He concluded urging that one should make service to people as the first priority and self interest secondary.

Esther Therie NSUI Secy, highlighted on Gandhi’s life, where she reflected on Gandhi’s life. “We are reminded of the power of ordinary individuals to drive extra ordinary change. His historic efforts like the Dhandi march and the quit India movement showcased his courage and determination in the face of adversity,” said Therie.

The program concluded with vote of thanks by Tsarili. T  NPYC Secy (Admin) who expressed gratitude to all participants, organizer’s and speakers for their contributions. The said program was organized by the Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress.
