Mass social work in Kohima District on 19th October (Saturday)

Kohima: DC urges all citizens to cooperate and actively participate in social work

The Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, has notified that a mass social work will be conducted on the 19th of October 2024 (Saturday) in the entire jurisdiction of Kohima district. This mass social work is being conducted in view of the upcoming festive season as directed by the Chief Secretary during a meeting of all the Administrative Head of Departments and Head of Departments (AHoDs/HODs) at Kohima today.

The Chief Secretary had said that there will be two state wide mass social work on 21st October and 3rd week of November before the commencement of 25th Hornbill Festival.

The DC Kohima has notified that the mass social work shall commence from 6:00 AM onwards and sought the participation of all the citizens of Kohima District including those residing in villages, towns and municipal areas. The Circular called for mandatory participation of all govermment offices/staff in the District Hq and sub-divisions.

The DC stated that a detailed action plan to be worked out by Officers i/c and Supervisory Officers for their respective areas, to ensure successful conduct of the social work and that Action Plan in respect of all Government offices under Kohima Hq would be prepared and issued by DC Office Kohima.

Further, the DC has requested the Chairpersons & Councillors, Kohima Municipal Council and Chiephobozou Town Council, to mobilize the citizens in the towns and all concerned to cooperate and actively participate in the social work.
