“Glory Unveiled,” a worship concert organized by the Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill (CBCMH) in Kohima, will take place on October 19 (Saturday) at 5 PM at the Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima.
During a press conference at the church on Wednesday, Rev Dr. Vevo Phesao, senior pastor of CBCMH, shared that “Glory Unveiled” delves into the deep meaning of Christ’s sacrifice, represented by the tearing of the temple veil. This powerful image signifies the breaking of barriers between humanity and the divine, granting direct access to God’s glory.
He noted that the concert serves as a humble beginning and as a precursor to the church’s 50th golden jubilee celebration in 2030.
The concert is a celebration of redemption, with every element infused with worship from the performers to the technical crew. It brings together believers from diverse backgrounds, all united in their desire to exalt the name of Jesus and experience His presence.
“Our goal is to glorify God, foster an atmosphere for authentic worship, and inspire hope and faith in attendees,” he stated.
He emphasized that the concert goes beyond music; it focuses on the presence of the Holy Spirit. It aims to facilitate a genuine encounter with God, leaving a lasting impact on hearts and lives.

Recognizing the diversity of backgrounds, cultures, denominations, and races among attendees, the church opted to hold the concert outside its premises. They aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone can come together for a shared purpose—spreading the gospel.
Akhrou Veswuh, the Music Director of CBCMH, mentioned that the choir comprises members from various age groups, totaling about 80 singers and nine musicians. Concertgoers can look forward to a mix of contemporary Christian music and hymns.
Tickets are priced at INR 100 for students, INR 200 for general admission, and INR 1000 for donors (admit two). The Planning Committee is headed by Convener Zaseto Sasu.
