41 teams compete in State-level round of RBI90Quiz conducted at Jotsoma

Jotsoma: Thejasikho Vakha and Lachimbah emerge as winner of RBI90Quiz for Nagaland

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is commemorating the 90th year of its operations this year. As part of the series of events being held throughout the year to mark this milestone, the Bank has launched the RBI90Quiz, a nationwide general knowledge-based quiz competition aimed at undergraduate students.

The RBI90Quiz is a team-based contest, being held in multiple stages. The online phase was conducted from 19th -21st September, 2024. Based on the performance in the online phase, college teams were selected for participation in State-level rounds.

The State-level round of the RBI90Quiz for Nagaland was conducted at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, Kohima on 6th November 2024, where 82 students (41 teams) competed. The team from C-Edge College comprising Thejasikho Vakha and Lachimbah emerged as the winner, followed by those from Tetso College comprising Lentinchon Luke Hangshing and Bishal Das and Dimapur Government College comprising Akolendang and Aghato K Chophy in second and third places, respectively. Prizes for the top three teams are of Rs. 2 lakh, Rs. 1.5 lakh, and Rs. 1 lakh, respectively.

The winning team will now compete in the Zonal round, which will take place on 29th November, 2024. The national final will be held at Mumbai in December 2024.
