Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and President, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), S. Supongmeren Jamir has expressed sadness over the passing of K. Zungkum, former cabinet minister, and four-time MLA. In a press release, the MP also extended condolences to his family and the Yimchunger community.

He said that Zungkum dedicated his life to serving the people of Nagaland. “From his early days as a teacher and translator to his role in politics and the Naga national movement, he worked tirelessly for the welfare and progress of the state,” Jamir stated.

Further, the MP mentioned that Late Zungkum was also a strong advocate for the Yimchunger community and played key roles in various organizations. His contributions to society will always be remembered, Jamir added.
