The 27th Biennial Sports Meet of the Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation which got underway on January 6 concluded on January 11 with former President,Western Chakhesang Hoho, Vekhosayi Nyekha as the Guest of Honor for the closing ceremony.
MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo)Nienu, who could not turn up for the event due to some unavoidable circumstances, expressed his best wishes through Vekhosayi Nyekha, to the Organization for successfully conducting the 27th Biennial Sports Meet which had significantly brought the Chakhesang people from the four Districts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland and Peren together through the Sports Meet.

The program was chaired by Asato Nyekha, while Kiesalie Thopi, former President of WCYO exhorted the gathering. Vote of Thanks was pronounced by Mudozhoyi Shijoh, Treasurer of WCYO while Velhuto Keyho, Cultural Secretary, WCYO took over the Prize Distribution. Shepota Nusori, Pastor of Jalukie Zangdi Baptist Church, pronounced the closing prayer.
Diezephe Village lifted the Champion trophy in Men’s Football and Women’s Volleyball while Sodzulhu Village lifted the Men Volleyball Championship. Chümoukedima lifted the championship trophy in Basketball for both men and women, informed the Media Cell, WCYO.
