Zunheboto: Konyak warned party workers to be ever vigilant and appealed for their full support to the party

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) president Chingwang Konyak visited Zunheboto Town on Wednesday.

He was accompanied by senior vice president Charlie Sekhose, vice president Benjamin Lorin and vice president T L Merry, vice president Kikheto Murru, president Agri & Allied Tali Pongen, president of youth organization Imchatoba Imchen, general secretary Aheto Yeptho, and general secretary of women organization Irali Rotokha.

The NDPP Zunheboto Region gave a warm reception to the visiting team at the Region Office building. The dignitaries and followers then moved to the residence of the president of Zunheboto region, Khehoshe H Yeptho, where a meeting was held.

In his address to the supporters, Chingwang Konyak said the ruling NDPP led government was taking an active role as a facilitator in the Indo-Naga talks to bring about an honourable solution acceptable to all.

The President also instructed the party cadres present to be ever vigilant and appealed for their full support to the party central and the NDPP led government in the state.

The meeting was also attended by G Kaito Aye, Minister for Agriculture & Cooperation Government of Nagaland and Er Picto Shohe, MLA, including party delegates from the NDPP 31-Akuluto A/c, 32-Atoizu A/c, 33-Suruhuto A/c, 34-Aghunato A/c, 35 -Zunheboto A/c and 36-Satakha A/c.

Minister G Kaito exhorted the gathering and thanked the president and his team for visiting Zunheboto. He further expressed his pleasure to the six assembly units for their cooperation and the respects shown to the party president and his entourage.

The meeting was presided over by Inakali Q Zhimo, president of the region women organization and the welcome address was pronounced by Khehoshe H Yeptho, president of Zunheboto region.

Region general secretary P Hutovi Awomi presented the status report of the NDPP Zunheboto region and short speeches were given by Benjamin Lorin Vice President and ER Picto Shohe, MLA at the meeting.
