The 66th edition of the Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) Meet 2025 came to an end on January 30 with the Kohima Village Sports Association (NASA-A) emerging as the Overall Champion winning total 34 medals. NASA-A secured 18 gold, 11 silver, and 5 bronze during the three-day event held at IG Stadium in Kohima and Meriema Village Ground.
NAYSA-C came second with total 15 medals that included 4 gold, 2 silver, and 9 bronze.
The closing ceremony was graced by Roko Angami, Officer on Special Duty (Sports) and former international footballer, as the Guest of Honour. In his address, Angami emphasised that in today’s competitive world, one must prove their worth through dedication and perseverance.
He exhorted young sportspersons to maintain discipline in their conduct and dietary habits while cautioning against indulgence in intoxicants and gluttony. He also advised them to practice deligently. Further, Angami urged the youth to respect their parents, elders, and leaders underscoring the importance of discipline and obedience.
