A five-day Badminton Coaching Camp was officially launched today at the Indoor Badminton Stadium, Wokha by Rechalungle, EAC.
The camp Is organised by the District Sports Council Wokha in convergence with the District Administration, District Hub for the Empowerment of Women, and the Social Welfare Department.
The camp, which will run for five days, is being led by sports coach Imnayanger, with assistance from past athlete champion and Khelo India Centre star, Nsungbeni Tungoe. Both will be providing participants with guidance and training to enhance their badminton skills. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Rechalungle, the EAC Wokha.

EAC Rechalungle, in her speech emphasised the importance of sports in youth development and the empowerment of women. She stressed that such initiatives play a crucial role in developing discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness among the youth, while also providing opportunities for future professional sports careers. Additionally, she encouraged the young participants to seize the opportunities offered by the coaching camp.
The event was chaired by K. Libemo Jami, District Youth Resources Officer.
Chairperson K. In his address, he reiterated the importance of sports in building a strong and active community, encouraging more participation in such events.
