Nagaland and Meghalaya has entered the finals in the ongoing 3rd NECDC Senior Men’s Interstate Friendship Tournament 2025. The final match will be held on May 15 at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium at 1 pm.
According to an update by the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) details of the semi final matches are as follows:
Riding on the back of a composed chase and a disciplined bowling attack, Nagaland defeated Manipur by 4 wickets in the semi-final of the 3rd NECDC Senior Men’s Interstate Friendship Tournament 2025 at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Dimapur. This win marks Nagaland’s third straight appearance in the NECDC finals, setting the stage for a potential historic hat-trick title.
The match, shortened to 42 ove’s per side due to conditions, saw Nagaland chase down a revised target of 148 with 7 balls to spare. Vino G Zhimomi was named Player of the Match for his decisive 3-wicket spell.
First Innings – Manipur: 159/9 in 49 Overs
Manipur posted a competitive total of 159 in a weather-disrupted match. Jotin Singh Pheiroijam once again led the scoring with a composed 72 off 86 balls, anchoring his side’s innings. However, Nagaland’s bowling unit, spearheaded by Vino G Zhimomi (3/14) and Akavi A Yeptho (3/30), kept the scoring in check.

Meghalaya cruised into the final of the 3rd NECDC Senior Men’s Interstate Friendship Tournament 2025 with a resounding 7-wicket victory over Arunachal Pradesh at the Sovima Cricket Ground. Powered by a sensational bowling performance from Manish Sharma, Meghalaya dismantled the Arunachal batting lineup and chased down the modest total in under 20 overs. Sharma was deservingly named Player of the Match for his exceptional 4-wicket spell.
First Innings – Arunachal Pradesh: 101 all out in 33.1 Overs
Under pressure from the first over, Arunachal Pradesh struggled to build any momentum. Their top scorer, Neelam Obi, showed some resistance with 28 runs from 51 deliveries, while Licha Jhon added 22 off 59 balls. However, Meghalaya’s bowlers were relentless.
