Arrangements are underway in Nagaland to host the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, who will be making her first visit to the state. The president will arrive on 2 November and depart the following day.
To mark the occasion, the government of Nagaland will be organising a civic reception and a cultural programme at State Banquet Hall, Kohima.
The civic reception for the President will be held at the Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima on 2 November at 3pm. Apart from all the Administrative Heads of Departments and Heads of Departments, the government has also extended invitation to 22 tribal bodies to attend the civic reception.
All guest representing the various tribes have been requested to wear the traditional shawls and to keep their face masks on at all times during the function.
The civic reception will then be followed by a cultural programme and State Banquet in honour of the President at 6:30pm at the State Banquet Hall, Chief Minister’s Residential Complex, Kohima.
