The Nagaland University Research Scholars’ Forum (NURSF) Kohima Campus has announced a special open competition in celebration of World Environment Day (WED) 2025 with the goal of promoting environmental awareness and encouraging individual action. The forum, in a press release on Wednesday, invited all to participate.

To participate, the forum informed, one has to plant a tree and take a photo of oneself during the planting process; record a short video explaining the name of the plant and the importance of tree plantation; and submit the photo and video via WhatsApp to 7005498030 on June 5 or 6.

The submitted videos and photos will be published on the official social media platforms of NURSF Kohima Campus. The online contest will go on till June 20 and winner will be announced on June 25.

The NURSF also informed that winners will be determined based on the number of likes, shares, and views their submissions receive on the respective official social media platforms of the forum.  The competition is open to all regardless of age and background. “There is no language barrier as well, and one can express oneself freely in one’s preferred language,” the forum stated. The competition is aimed at making a difference during this year’s World Environment Day, it said.
